Steel Bridge Designer
Parametric composite I/box girder modelling and three-dimensional bridge analysis.

Overview
Steel Bridge Designer brings composite I-girder and box-girder geometry, bridge layout, structural analysis and result review into one workspace. The Bridge application handles a three-dimensional frame network, static load cases and multi-lane truck/lane loading, with views for girder forces and section-stress previews. It is being developed to automate the company's bridge-design workflow; the product is not publicly released, and the linked application is a demo. Complete composite design verification is still under development.
Technical capabilities
Bridge design requires the girder geometry, structural network, loading and response to remain connected as the model changes.
Technical scope
- Define composite I-girder and open or closed box-girder sections and inspect the resulting bridge model.
- Review girder arrangements and dimensional drawings generated from the structural geometry.
- Analyse static load cases and multi-lane truck/lane actions with OpenSees as the default solver or an explicitly selected Frame Solver.
- Inspect girder moment diagrams and section-stress preview or envelope views with their load-case context.
- Review composite I/box research coverage while complete numerical design checks and governed design export remain in development.

Contribution
- Connect section input, bridge geometry and three-dimensional analysis in one workflow.
- Expose girder drawings and structural response on the model for engineering review.
- Keep analysis and preview results linked to the selected load cases and current geometry.
