Moving Load
Truck, lane and combined moving-load analysis for a single bridge girder.

Overview
Moving Load is the Beam application in the JSCAD workspace. It evaluates a single-girder model in the XZ plane under truck, lane and concurrent truck/lane cases, then presents influence lines, physical loading positions and internal-force envelopes. It is being developed for the company's bridge-design automation workflow; the product is not publicly released, and the linked application is a demo.
Technical capabilities
Moving vehicles and lane loading create different governing positions along a bridge girder, so response envelopes need to retain the loading arrangement behind each result.
Technical scope
- Define truck-only, lane-only and concurrent truck/lane moving-load cases on a single-girder model.
- Run linear frame analysis with the browser solver or an optional OpenSees backend.
- Inspect influence lines, vehicle and lane placement, and maximum or minimum force envelopes.
- Review static load cases and moving results in the shared load-case and combination workflow; member design checks are outside the Beam product scope.

Contribution
- Connect girder modelling and moving-load definitions to one analysis workflow.
- Show physical truck/lane loading positions beside influence and envelope results.
- Keep static, moving and combination results distinguishable for review.
